Official:Lyon have signed Said Benrahma{28}from West Ham on a permanent basis following his initial loan move
Lympique Lyonnais has announced that they have taken up Said Benrahma from West Ham United for £12.3 million
(€14.4 million).
The Algerian international is now officially a Lyon player for the next three seasons after joining on a
£5.1 million (€6 million) paid loan during the winter transfer window.
It gives OL great pleasure to have Said Benrahma on board. In just four months, the 28-year-old attacker made 15
appearances and scored 3 goals for the team, demonstrating his smooth integration. Benrahma currently has a deal
with OL that runs through June 30, 2027, with a one-year extension option.
A 10% sell-on clause on any future transfer profit is retained by West Ham.
In 15 games for Les Gones last season, the attacking midfielder for West Ham United registered 4 assists and 3 goals
across all competitions. Lyon paid €6 million for Benrahma’s loan move from the Premier League team; when his
buy option is activated, the deal’s total value should increase to €16 million. The option to buy is worth €10 million.
