Several first team players for the Rangers have contracts that expire at the end of the 2023–2024 season,

therefore they will need to decide quickly about their futures.

The Gers have the option to sign the Colombian winger to a full-time contract, although six stars are now scheduled to leave Ibrox in the summer.

Meanwhile, loan players Fabio Silva, Abdallah Sima, and Oscar Cortes will return to their parent clubs. Borna Barasic, Kemar Roofe, Ryan Jack,

Leon Balogun, John Lundstram, and Jon McLaughlin are the players whose contracts are up for renewal.

TeamTALK reports that Philippe Clement, a star player on the first squad, is eager to lock down a new contract.

Rangers have reportedly started contract negotiations with him. “Discussions” are reported to have started with Lundstram,

a midfielder for the Glasgow club who has made 137 appearances overall (including 37 this season) since joining in 2021.

Lundstram was formerly with Sheffield United and Everton.

But according to the same report, Jack, another midfield player, is still awaiting the start of contract negotiations.

Nevertheless, it’s also stated that Rangers “highly values” the former Aberdeen player and that “there is no major panic over his situation.”

It is stated that he would “not hesitate” to sign a new deal if one were offered, despite the fact that injuries are reportedly

restricting his playing time and making it doubtful that he would reach the playing milestones that would trigger his automatic one-year extension.

It appears that clubs in England and Europe are interested in both players.
