“Outstanding” Rangers star who earns £21,000 per week ready to quit Ibrox
At the end of the season, one Rangers player is reportedly looking to leave Ibrox, and he can actually secure his next move now.
January transfer window for Rangers
Three new players were added to the Rangers roster on loan during Philippe Clement’s first transfer window as manager. Sam Lammers, Jose Cifuentes, and Adam Devine left on loan until the end of the season, while Oscar Cortes, Fabio Silva, and Mohamed Diomande joined from Wolves, Nordsjaelland, and Lens, respectively. When speaking about the club’s operations last month, Clement appeared to be in a good mood.
Fantastic, and I’m glad it’s over and we now know what the squad will be doing for the next four months.
With so many games over the next four months, it’s almost a sprint now that we know the composition of the team.
In order to restore balance to the team, we made a few adjustments. We also brought in some young, gifted players who can improve their play here, add value to the team, and potentially increase revenue in the future. It’s not the primary concern; rather, achieving success with a sound business plan is.
Rangers, who won the League Cup, are currently challenging Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership. They are also still in the Scottish Cup and the Europa League.
Even though the last few months of the season appear to be hectic, one player appears to be planning to leave Glasgow.
Update on Borna Barisic’s transfer
Borna Barisic, a left-back, is expected to depart Ibrox for free at the end of the current campaign and already seems to have his sights set on a “bigger deal” elsewhere, according to Football Insider within the last 48 hours.
Borna Barisic, a left back for the Rangers, is prepared to leave the team this summer when his contract expires,
sources have told Football Insider. The 31-year-old is now hoping to take advantage of his status as a free agent
during the off-season since his contract expires in May.
Barisic knows that if he leaves Ibrox for free, he can get a better deal somewhere else.
Barisic joined Rangers in 2018 and has had great success at Ibrox; however, it appears that his time in Scotland is
running out.
He was outstanding
Steven Gerrard, a former manager, and Michael Beale have both praised him in the past. Gerrard said of Borna, “He
is the Croatian left-back and he is used to these high-pressure games. He was outstanding last night. “The personnel
and those in the dressing room hold him in the highest regard.”
“Borna has been consistently our strongest player over the last few weeks, so I think he [Yilmaz] was getting fit,”
Beale said last year. Now that things have flipped and Ridvan Yilmaz is Clement’s first choice, losing Barisic might
not be disastrous for Rangers because of his connections to left-back Jefte.
