according to new reports. Sean Dyche’s men will be aiming
for a much better season next time around to avoid relegation from the Premier League. Even without the points
deductions, new acquisitions will be required, and a number of players are now being touted as potential arrivals.
Newcastle United’s Yankuba Minteh has been connected with Everton several times recently, with the Magpies
reportedly prepared to transfer the 19-year-old, who spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Feyenoord, however Lyon
are believed to be attempting to hijack the move.
Marseille ace Iliman Ndiaye has also emerged as a promising prospect for the Blues between now and the end of the
summer transfer window, with the seven-cap Senegalese international regarded as someone who might provide
more firepower and a goal threat.
With Jarrad Branthwaite potentially leaving Everton this summer, a top-tier replacement will be required, and
Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof has been linked with a transfer there, maybe in the opposite direction as the
England international.
According to a recent report from Foot Mercato [via Sport Witness], Everton are close to reaching a “total
agreement” with Marseille forward Ndiaye ahead of a summer transfer to Goodison Park.
After being turned down the first time, a new offer has been made for the winger, and it appears that the Blues may
make him their latest addition in the near future.
Ndiaye is a tremendously gifted player, and at 24 years old, he still has a lot to offer, and he is exactly the type of
footballer that Goodison Park fans could get behind. Under Dyche, the Blues were not the most attack-minded
squad, scoring only 40 goals in 38 Premier League matches last season, and the Senegalese star might provide the
Merseysiders with some unpredictability and magic in wide areas.
£32,000 per week Ndiaye had a successful run with Sheffield United earlier in his career, scoring 36 goals (22 goals
and 14 assists) in 88 games, prompting Billy Sharp to praise his former teammate, even if he can be unexpected at
times: “Iliman, he’s a breath of new air.
“He is one somebody who has constancy. His consistency has been important because I believe he was a touch erratic
last season. He was unplayable one week and not quite as good the next, but his performances this season have been
eights and nines out of ten.
While this suggests that Ndiaye may be difficult at times, his total ability transcends that, and his game should only
improve with maturity, allowing Everton to enjoy his peak years.
