Tottenham has been searching for a new striker for a while, and it appears that they are getting closer to adding a
legitimate number nine to the team.

Spurs have been without a natural striker ever since they lost Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in the summer.
Ivan Toney, a striker for Brentford, has been identified by Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham as one of their transfer
targets. They may now make a serious bid to get him this summer.
Tottenham News has been informed by former Tottenham defender Alan Hutton that Spurs may try to reach an
agreement for Toney by including add-ons that would push the transfer fee closer to the £50-55 million range.
Hutton believes that would be the appropriate cost for the guy who can help Spurs’ offensive line in the upcoming campaign.
“I think that’s a good number. I know how Tottenham plays. They go in low, Brentford goes high, and every move in
football ends somewhere in the middle,” he remarked.
If they can come in under the £50-55 million threshold, which is reasonable given that he is only 28. He may have
had a poor season after returning from suspension (17 games, I believe, with only three or four goals), but we already
know what he is capable of because of what transpired previously, and he will take that experience to heart.
