After departure development, West Ham United signed Jonathan David before Tottenham.
According to iNews, West Ham United is hoping to recruit Lille star Jonathan David this summer before Aston Villa,
Tottenham, and Manchester United.
As he approaches the last year of his contract, the Canadian international is reportedly available for sale, and the
French side is likely to demand a fee of £25 million, according to a story published on their website on June 19.
However, the Hammers would have to outbid their Premier League rivals for his services as well, since United and
his representatives are already in discussions on a transfer to Old Trafford.
Jonathan David is the new striker that West Ham United needs.
This transfer season, there has been a lot of conjecture over summer acquisitions at the London Stadium. Julen
Lopetegui is anticipated to give top priority to a striker.
The MLS and Saudi Arabian clubs are interested in Michail Antonio [Athletic, 15 May], and Southampton is pursuing
Danny Ings [talkSPORT, 28 May], thus the incoming manager is stuck with no options up front.
Youssef En-Nesyri has been heavily linked but that seems unlikely to happen, and with Lille open to doing a deal and
David’s record being so impressive West Ham would be crazy not to look at him.
The Canadian international has demonstrated that he is a dependable finisher in front of goal by scoring 26 goals in
48 appearances for his country and 52 goals in all competitions over the last two seasons for Lille.
He is just going to get better at the age of 24, therefore it would seem sense to close this deal as soon as possible to
avoid other teams maybe beating us to it.
