The state of the players was among the first things that annoyed Philippe Clement as the new Rangers manager.

The new manager of the Gers claimed that although the team had a long list of injuries, it was also unprepared for

the difficulties that lay ahead.

One of the first things that irritated Philippe Clement as the new Rangers manager was the condition of the players.

The club had a long list of injuries, but the new manager of the Gers insisted that the team was also unprepared for

the challenges that lied ahead.

Philippe Clement already getting Rangers squad into shape

Pre-season was when the warning flags appeared.

The occasional good play segment was present, but overall the performances were subpar and the outcomes weren’t

really impressive.

The guys’ obvious weariness was what caught my attention the most.

Following Olympiakos’ 3-1 victory, Michael Beale gave the following explanation:

We trained hard yesterday and had a double session on Monday, so I know where the boys are at. We’re pushing

them, and when the season starts, we’ll reap the rewards. For now, I’m good.

Since we have a three-game week for the remainder of the month starting at the beginning of the season,

we know we need to push the group. We need to have things in our legs, and I don’t want to quit working

out hard right before a match.

Sadly, we never got to enjoy the advantages, since Philippe Clement quickly took Beale’s spot on the Rangers.

What is perplexing is why, instead of focusing on form or a game plan, the club appeared so unfit after

spending the most of the preseason performing double practices and entering games with tired legs.

After only a few months at the club, Clement has had little opportunity to put his ideas into practice.

Nevertheless, a response in his

We are improving and growing, and I believe that the data and everyone else can both attest to this.

“That we’re not at our best, but there are more sprints, distance runs, and high-intensity events

than there were a few months ago.

A strong foundation is necessary to advance to the next level. We are working hard to improve

things at this level, and I believe that things will continue to improve at the conclusion of the season.

Thus, despite the lack of a preseason and a packed schedule, Philippe Clement has improved his Rangers team.

Although Tom Taylor took over as head of performance in lieu of Jack Ade, the latter had a stellar reputation prior to

coming to Auchenhowie and cannot be entirely blamed for the demands of the outgoing manager.

But it appears that Clement is controlling the players’ time on the field so they can engage in more specialized and

customized training during the intermissions instead of merely running laps around the practice field.

The interesting thing is that Rangers under Philippe Clement still have room to grow, according to the manager

himself.
