West Ham United offer multi-million wage packet to seal Aleix Garcia transfer
Aleix Garcia, a midfielder for Girona, was passed over for a £3.4 million salary package by West Ham after he was
left out of the Spain squad for Euro 2024, according to AS.
According to the Spanish tabloid, Garcia will choose between staying with Girona and joining the Hammers or
Bayer Leverkusen after being left off of Luis de la Fuente’s final 26-man roster.
Julen Lopetegui is willing to accept a bid of more than £15 million to sign Garcia because he is so eager to get Garcia
to the London Stadium (Fabrizio Romano).
When it comes to football, West Ham is fighting above their weight as they compete to sign Garcia for the upcoming
season against Bayer Leverkusen and his present team Girona [The Guardian].
This season, Girona and Leverkusen both caused enormous upsets in their respective leagues—the former earning a
spot in the Champions League, while the latter won the Bundesliga without dropping a game.
Therefore, it could be wiser for Garcia to stick with Girona or join Xabi Alonso’s undefeated champions if he wants
to reach the heights necessary to force his way back into the Spanish national team.

player, though, might be even more eager for another chance to compete in the Premier League. He only appeared
in four league games for City between 2015 and 2017, so if he decides to move to the London Stadium, Lopetegui is
probably going to select him first.
It will be a major declaration of intent for Lopetegui’s squad overhaul [Evening Standard] if the Hammers can beat
Leverkusen to Garcia’s signing this summer, demonstrating that his team means business for the upcoming
campaign.
