According to a report from trustworthy journalist Mark Hendry, Rangers may try to sign a striker this summer who is “unbelievable” and will be worth millions of dollars without having to pay a dime.

Although Philippe Clement’s main goal this season is to lead his team to the Scottish Premiership, he still has his sights set on making additions before the summer transfer window opens later in the year. Even after the winter transfer window closed, Rangers were reportedly in talks with Fluminense left-back Jefte, who was heavily backed to move to Ibrox in January. Rangers are still linked to a number of players.

The striker is not over the hill as a free agent, but rather in and around his prime at 27, and there’s no reason his physicality and goal-scoring ability can’t make him a real handful for Scottish Premiership defenders.

Although McBurnie is a solid substitute, Shankland would still likely be the best option this summer given his incredible season, which has seen him top the SPL scoring charts with 17 goals.
