A number of players, most notably Crysencio Summerville, have question marks around their futures.
Leeds may now acquire a free transfer to make sure the offensive unit is well-stocked in case any players depart.
Leeds vision Reid, Bobby De Cordova
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Bobby De Cordova-Reid may be available for a free transfer to Leeds.
The Jamaican international has been playing at Craven Cottage since August 2019 after initially signing on loan
from Cardiff, and he was in talks with Fulham to extend his contract.
But negotiations for a new, two-year contract have collapsed, and according to TEAMtalk, De Cordova-Reid will
now part ways with the Cottagers.
After Jaidon Anthony’s loan period ended and he returned to Bournemouth, TEAMtalk adds that Leeds is eager
to sign the 31-year-old. The Whites will likely have to sell Wilfried Gnonto and Summerville.
In 41 appearances across all competitions, De Cordova-Reid scored seven goals and provided four assists to
help Fulham win the 2023–24 season.
The Bristolian can play right back if necessary and can operate anywhere around the front line.
According to TBR Football, Everton is also eager to sign De Cordova-Reid while he’s a free agent.
Daniel Farke could benefit from experience
De Cordova-Reid is a very appealing free agency option for Championship clubs this summer.
With 192 Championship outings under his belt, the Fulham No. 14 has an impressive amount of experience
playing in England’s second division. He has scored 39 goals and provided 22 assists in those games.
Of course, the loss of a star like Summerville or Gnonto would not be easily forgotten, but De Cordova-Reid’s
possible entry would be a very smart summer trade in a financially challenging market.
