For star tight end Travis Kelce, this matchup is particularly significant as it marks a return to his hometown of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Though his stats this season—80 receptions for 682 yards and two touchdowns—aren’t record-breaking, Kelce remains a key figure in the Chiefs’ passing attack.

The Chiefs acknowledged Kelce’s homecoming on social media, posting, “Back to the old stomping grounds for Travis Kelce,” alongside a video of him exiting the team plane. Growing up, Kelce was a Browns fan and dreamed of playing for Cleveland. Instead, he’s become a Kansas City legend, winning three Super Bowls and cementing his place as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history.

Cleveland still holds a special place in Kelce’s life. His podcast, New Heights, co-hosted with his brother Jason, pays tribute to their Cleveland Heights roots. However, on Sunday, Kelce’s focus will be on helping the Chiefs secure another win in the AFC race.
