Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Armani Latimer Highlights Alopecia Awareness with Bold Move on ‘Monday Night Football’

During the Cowboys’ matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals at AT&T Stadium, Armani Latimer shined beyond the sparkle of her iconic uniform. As part of the “My Cause, My Boots” campaign, which empowers cheerleaders to advocate for personal causes, Latimer, a fifth-year cheerleader, danced without her wig for the first time to raise awareness for alopecia—a condition she has lived with since age 12.

Latimer, who embraced her “new normal” with the support of her family, often asked herself a pivotal question growing up: “What would Beyoncé do?” Her journey as a dancer has taken her to prestigious stages, including the Miss America organization and the South Carolina Gamecocks’ dance team, culminating in her role with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Believing in the power of storytelling through dance, Latimer shared her experience and the importance of raising awareness in a conversation with Andscape and ESPN commentator Ari Chambers.
