Michael Wilbon says the Bears should keep Ryan Poles.

With the addition of young, talented players from the 2024 NFL Draft, such as wide receiver Rome Odunze and quarterback Caleb Williams, the Chicago Bears had great expectations for this season.

After a devastating loss to the Washington Commanders due to a last-second Hail Mary touchdown pass by Jayden Daniels, the Bears appeared to have a chance to turn things around at first, winning four of their first six games. However, Chicago lost its way and suffered seven consecutive losses.

The team sacked head coach Matt Eberflus after losing to the division-rival Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day after a historic coaching collapse in the fourth quarter with the game in control. General manager Ryan Poles was then targeted.

According to ESPN Chicago, Mike Wilbon, a resident of Chicago, disagrees with the Bears’ widely held belief that Poles should be fired as well and that the organization should start over as head coach and general manager.

It would be fascinating to see if the Bears continue to support Poles going forward or decide to try something different in the future offseason, given that they are obviously putting their all on having Williams behind center.
