ULTIME NOTIZIE: Il record recente dimostra perché il Parma neopromosso potrebbe essere una vera “trappola” per l’Inter questa sera in Serie A – Dettagli.
Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews,
note that Inter are five matches without a win at home against Parma in the league – with their last victory dating back to 2013.
On paper, Inter are certainly the big favourites to take three points in this evening’s Serie A match at the San Siro.
The Nerazzurri are reigning champions of Italy. And there is a reason for that.
Even with a few early stumbles, Inter are right in the thick of it at the top end of the table.
Parma, on the other hand, are fighting to stave off relegation straight back to Serie B.
Stats Show Parma A Potential “Trap” For Inter In Serie A
Parma have already shown how formidable they can be in their first season back in the top flight, though.
The Gialloblu have claimed big scalps in the likes of AC Milan and Lazio. FIorentina and Juventus, meanwhile, had to settle for draws. And Napoli only got a win over the Emilians after a second half red card.
Meanwhile, Inter’s own recent record for Parma does not make for encouraging reading.
The Nerazzurri did manage to overcome the Gialloblu in the Coppa Italia the last time the two teams faced.
But the last time Inter and Parma met as Serie A rivals at the San Siro, Parma snatched a 2-2 draw.
And in fact, across the last five Serie A clashes between the two teams in Milan, there have been four draws.
And the only match that didn’t end with the score level was a win for Parma.
