Cleveland Browns News 2/12: Uncomfortable Work Activity, Swiping Coaches, and Do-It-Yourself News Reports

I am aware that as astute Cleveland Browns fans, we have learned to depend on credentialed news organizations with a strong journalistic background to give us up-to-date Cleveland Browns news on a daily basis. A smaller network of fan blogs and news aggregators exists, whereby they find content on Twitter or other platforms, republish it in digestible portions, and then profit from gullible readers on Google, Yahoo, or other platforms. This is all fine and good; it’s a healthy cycle of recycling and obtaining news from a busy web of many quality sources.

At the OBR, we’re just attempting to find a place within this framework, creating content that sets us apart from the competition while also keeping our readers up to date on the latest online news. Like all the Browns news purveyors mentioned above, we believe we’re unique and fantastic at what we do. Everybody is unique. Sprinkles are applied to everyone’s donuts.

However, there are moments when you look at the morning news feeds from the major websites and find almost nothing of interest. This can be disheartening.
In those situations, instead of merely connecting it, I have to do something extremely uncomfortable: work. I have to put the news together myself and attempt to explain what the hell is going on in the Cleveland Browns’ universe at 7AM.

I suppose the first unreported story is that there’s a chance Tommy Rees, the tight end coach for the Browns, may be attracted away from the team. The majority of people merely received this information via a college football tweeter who repeated content from a 247 Sports college website:
Luckily, because you are obviously an OBR VIP Subscriber, you have access to all of the 247Sports articles that are behind paywalls. You can also read the entire analysis of the UCLA head coaching hot board, which includes Tommy Rees’s likelihood of taking over at UCLA and, consequently, leaving the coaching staff of the Cleveland Browns. People like you are truly fortunate, all thanks to your foresight in participating in the OBR VIP experience and gaining specialized expertise.

Additionally, it appears that GM Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski of the Browns could earn contract extensions, which is shocking to hear. It’s accurate! ESPN said as much! Now that Bristol has confirmed what we already knew and had been discussing for weeks, expect a lot of enthusiastic pieces.

You know, there’s a distinction between readers who use OBR and those who don’t. That may come as a surprise to a lot of the latter. If not, I am unable to explain the subsequent articles.

Nevertheless, to round off the Newswire digression on a lighter note, JOK appeared in the NFL’s subsequent commercial that aired during last night’s Super Bowl, dressed in traditional African attire. It’s great to see the most fashionable NFL player, and linebacker for the Browns, garnering more notice following his breakout campaign.

I suppose I’ve done enough do-it-yourself newswire work for today. Though none of them are quite as self-important and sarcastic as what you just read, there are a few more links below. With the possible exception of Defector’s criticism of the Plain Dealer’s “decision” to publish a letter from the editor regarding the report they chose not to publish about the Browns’ land purchase in Brookpark, thus drawing attention to the transaction. Right now, I’m headachey.
