Atletico Madrid set to sign Gareth Southgate for the summer transfer window to replace Diego Simeone
Atletico Madrid set to sign Gareth Southgate for the summer transfer window.
Diego Simeone, the head coach of Atletico Madrid, revealed the team’s intentions for the summer transfer window today.
Much of this is new after Atlético played their last home game of the season in an extremely concerning way.
On Sunday night, the Rojiblancos welcomed an Osasuna team that had lost six straight games to their opponents to the Wanda Metropolitano.
After all was said and done, the visitors spectacularly ended their problems at the price of an unfortunate Atléti.
Speaking to the media following his team’s season-long efforts in Madrid,
it was therefore not surprising when the aforementioned Diego Simeone was asked about
his plans to bolster his roster in preparation for 2024–2025.
The Argentine continued by confirming that he had a meeting late last week with
the Atlético executives to discuss their summertime plans:
“Symbols? I had a meeting with the board on Friday, and we had a conversation.
The club tried its best to let us compete the way we did. We intend to keep it going. We both have similar viewpoints.
