After just a few weeks on the job, Celtic star Brown has already made an impact on McGeady’s

perception of his work. In addition to discussing the title race, the former Republic of Ireland

international offered his thoughts on the main message being conveyed by his old teammate.

Rangers has the opportunity to draw even with their Glasgow rivals this midweek if they

can defeat Ross County handily in their Scottish Premiership match.

McGeady said in an interview with the Scottish Football Podcast, “It will be fascinating.

Rangers didn’t perform poorly in my opinion at all. They felt at ease. You are familiar

with what happens when a Championship team advances to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup

while you are a player for Rangers or Celtic. You are sometimes on the verge of second gear

and are expected to win. At times, I thought Rangers were like that. It would have

been an entirely different game if we had scored more and the result had been higher.

However, for the remainder of the season. It’s incredibly tight. Having been there and done that,

Celtic’s experience should prove to be the decisive factor at the end of the season.

“A lot of football still needs to be played, and Rangers have added some quality players.

Oscar Cortes, the left winger, particularly impressed me. He appears to be a very straight and incisive player.

Although Celtic’s transfer business has received a lot of attention thus far, many of the team’s

best players shine when faced with challenges. The most recent Celtics vs. Rangers game

was exactly the same. Everyone was talking about how Rangers were the favorites and how bad Celtic was.

Regarding Brown’s debut at Somerset Park, he continued, “It’s been going well,

and one thing I noticed right away is that he has us quite well-structured.

Rangers are always going to have opportunities, even at Ibrox.

They have some good players who can turn and find gaps for other players,

but his basic philosophy has been to go around us rather than through us thus far.
