John McGinn, who witnessed the trio being “hounded” out of the club, calls on Hibs to implement a specific transfer strategy.

Speaking about his brother’s treatment at Easter Road, John McGinn claims that Hibs haven’t brought in

better players to replace departing stars.

The midfielder helped Hibs win the Scottish Cup and escape the Championship, making him a modern-day hero at the club.

When he left for Aston Villa at the end of his 2018 contract, he also turned a healthy profit for them.

Brothers Paul and Stephen have since played for the Hibees and are currently captains of the Villans in the Premier League.

Since the Scotland star left, Hibs has undergone significant change, and he has been baffled by recruitment.

One player he feels was pushed out of Leith is his brother Paul.

Since moving to Lanarkshire from the capital, he has been a standout player for Motherwell, where he is currently captain.

After their illustrious stints at the club, the midfielder feels that Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson,

who shared the cup with the Villa star in 2016, have not been adequately replaced.

Despite a strong performance in Tuesday’s match against Aberdeen, where they drew 3-3 at Easter Road,

Hibs are still at the bottom of the Premiership. McGinn clarified that a local transfer strategy is required in

an interview with Premier Sports. “No club is above getting relegated,” he clarified. Hearts and Hibs have both suffered recently,

as we have seen before.
