Breaking News: Nottingham Forest will move into the top four following three clubs’ points deduction – Total Disaster.
Is Nottingham Forest ‘doing a Leicester 2016′ already?
Hold on, listen to us first.
This is the general picture:
After winning three straight in the top tier for the first time since 1999, Forest is now in third place in the Premier League, their greatest standing since 1998.
Their first ten games are similar to Leicester’s 2015–16 campaign, when the Foxes shocked the sports world by winning the Premier League at 5,000-1 odds.
With five victories, four draws, and one loss, Forest’s record is the same as Leicester’s, but they have three more clean sheets and a seven-point goal differential over Claudio Ranieri‘s team from nine years ago.
They very narrowly avoided relegation last season thanks to their second-best defense and eight goals from striker Chris Wood, who is a different player but just as talismanic as Jamie Vardy.
Nuno has refused to tread softly with Wood, especially after international duty, saying the striker is a “competitor” and will always be ready.
