Celtic legend thinking of fighting Lennon Miller in the next match concerning bad parkhead move
Lennon Miller is someone who has been heavily linked with a move to Celtic in recent months. The 18-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a meteoric rise in Scottish football. He is a regular starter in the middle of the park for Motherwell and has even captained the Steelemen on a few occasions.
That just goes on to show how highly he is rated. That has unsurprisingly come with a lot of interest. Both Celtic and the Rangers are believed to be interested in Miller. At the same time, some of England’s best clubs are rumoured to be scouting him as well.
As a result, it feels like his time at Motherwell will come to an end pretty soon. And Miller was to remain in Scotland, Celtic would be his most likely destination. Pat Bonner does not seem overly optimistic about the idea of Miller joining Celtic at this point in his career though. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, he told the Scottish Football Podcast: “Luke McCowan when he came in made a huge impact.
“Never looked out of place because he suits that profile of player that Brendan wants. “Lennon Miller, great player, great ability on the ball. A great passer of the ball. But to come in here, he could end up not getting into that squad. That would be a shame.
Celtic legend warns Lennon Miller about Parkhead move
Of course, if Miller did make the move to Celtic, there would be the risk that he might end up getting lost in the shuffle. The Hoops have a brilliant set of midfielders already. Callum McGregor is pretty much an automatic starter when fit and available, and Reo Hatate is pretty close to that level as well. Arne Engels has not been brilliant since arriving but he is the club’s record signing and will get his chances. Paulo Bernardo and Luke McCowan are fantastic cover options.
Would Miller be able to break into this team? He certainly seems to have the talent. And also, there would be the risk of getting lost in the shuffle wherever he goes. The Motherwell youngster has been linked with clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City and more. Surely, his chances of making it at Celtic are significantly higher.
