Everton and Silas Katompa from FK Crvena zvezda agree on the January signing contract.
Red Star Belgrade winger Silas Katompa Mvumpa is allegedly a target for Everton,
who may try to buy him in January but will likely encounter competition.
The Toffees were eager to sign a new winger in the summer and made approaches
to players like Ernest Nuamah and Jaden Philogene, but they were unsuccessful in both attempts.
By bringing in Iliman Ndiaye on a permanent contract, re-signing Jack Harrison on loan,
and adding Jesper Lindstrom on loan, Everton did bolster their wide areas.
Sean Dyche, meanwhile, reportedly wants extra troops in that region.
According to a report by journalist Florian Plettenberg, Everton is interested in Silas.
Silas, who is currently on loan at Red Star from VfB Stuttgart, may be traded in January,
according to Plettenberg. His contract contains a €10 million (£8.4 million; $11 million)
release clause that has drawn interest from a number of parties.
Both Villarreal and Everton are acknowledged for having a genuine interest in Silas.
Stuttgart has already obtained a 10-15% sell-on clause for the winger in
the event that he departs in January, according to the report, indicating that they anticipate his departure.
If Silas departs in January, Red Star will get his entire transfer price, and Stuttgart will get money back from any subsequent sales by his new team.
