‘Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano says Nottingham Forest agree deal to sign ‘killer’ after McAtee and Hutchinson

Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal to sign striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, according to GIVEMESPORT correspondent Fabrizio Romano.

The Tricky Trees have ramped up their transfer business in the last week or so after discovering they will be playing in the Europa League this season rather than the UEFA Conference League, with Nuno Espirito Santo wanting to strengthen the squad ahead of what will be a difficult campaign.

After deals were agreed with Manchester City and Ipswich to sign James McAtee and Omari Hutchinson already this week, Forest have now agreed a deal to bolster their striker options too.

Nottingham Forest Agree Kalimuendo Deal

Kalimuendo, who has been described as a ‘killer’, was made available for transfer by Rennes after scoring 17 goals in 33 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, as he entered the final two years of his contract with the club.

Forest have now beaten off competition from several clubs in the Premier League and across Europe for his signature, with Romano revealing that a deal worth €31.5m (£27.1m) agreed between the two clubs.

A medical is now scheduled to take place in the coming days, and the French forward will provide competition for Chris Wood, Taiwo Awoniyi and Igor Jesus heading into the new season.

This deal comes after Forest agreed a £30m deal to sign McAtee and a £37.5m deal to sign Hutchinson, while they have already signed Dan Ndoye this summer for their attack too.

The club are also working on a deal to sign Man City star Rico Lewis, and are willing to double his wages to convince him to make the move to the City Ground. Forest have also agreed personal terms with Brazil star Douglas Luiz, but remain in talks with Juventus about a transfer to strengthen their midfield.
