Mohamed Diomande hilariously trolls Rangers teammate Leon Balogun after Ivory Coast AFCON triumph

In the dressing room this morning, following the conclusion of the AFCON Final on Sunday night, it was a contentious subject.

Mohamed Diomande, Leon Balogun’s teammate on the Rangers, teased the new recruit after he showed up for training wearing an Ivory Coast shirt.

As Nigerian international Balogun watched the Super Eagles lose in the AFCON Final, it was a contentious topic in the dressing room.

Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo, two former Rangers stars, played in the game, but they were unable to bring honor to their nation as the Ivory Coast overcame a shocking early loss to Equatorial Guinea and another loss to the same opponents in the group stage to lift the trophy in spectacular fashion.

They overcame their early setbacks and manager’s dismissal to win the competition. But as Balogun joked around with new signing Diomande, it was all still too early.

“Look at this one, just signing and thinks he can mock me like that!” Balogun captioned a video that he uploaded to Instagram. I’m not giving you a pass today, buddy—look at him [laughs]. God, I’m so sorry. He introduced Twitter to the changing area. Take a look at this man. As long as you can, bro, enjoy it. I am back today, so you know, we are training in a little while. Get your shin guards out.”
