Tottenham dealt Wilson Odobert a serious injury before a busy three-game week.
During their Carabao Cup match against Coventry City, Tottenham Hotspur was dealt a possible injury blow. Early on at the Coventry Building Society Arena, Wilson Odobert was replaced.
Manager Ange Postecoglou gave the 19-year-old summer acquisition a start, but he was pulled before halftime. Spurs substituted Brennan Johnson for Odobert on the right wing, and the team will now wait to find out how serious the injury is as the French teenager hobbles off the field.
Prior to his apparent injury, Odobert was one of Tottenham’s top forwards in the match against Coventry. Spurs acquired him from Burnley during the most recent summer transfer window.
Before the setback, he had only been there for 17 minutes. When Postecoglou talks to reporters following tonight’s game, he will almost certainly be questioned about Odobert’s health.
Odobert, who moved from Burnley to Tottenham in the summer, has already made three appearances this season. The forward was substituted in the second half of last weekend’s North London Derby loss to Arsenal, which saw the Gunners triumph 1-0, and has been given two Premier League starts by Postecoglou.
