BREAKING NEWS: Four Wolves stars plus Everton and Ipswich Town men to face ban due to Premier League rule

Wolves could be hit the hardest by the Premier League’s suspensions rule.

Four Wolves players are currently at risk of being suspended for one-match.

Premier League suspension rules state that any player who accumulates five yellow cards before

match week 19 will be issued with a one-game ban.

10 yellows before game-week 32 will result in a two-match ban.

The suspension for five or 10 yellow cards is specific to the Premier League and cannot

be served in the FA Cup or League Cup.

The Premier League season is 11 games in and so the players that are at risk of a suspension would

do well not to get a ban at some point.

Wolves’ quartet of players all on four yellow cards will have to get through seven games without

picking up a single card.

Joao Gomes has started every single league game for Wolves this season and so his potential absence would

be a big miss. Toti Gomes has proved valuable to Wolves this season having played in a variety of positions.

With Yerson Mosquera out for the rest of the season and an injury worry for Santiago Bueno,

Wolves cannot afford to lose any more of their central defenders.

Rayan Ait-Nouri like Joao Gomes has started in all 11 of Wolves’ league games and so his

absence would be a big miss.

The Algerian international has three goals and two assists this term.

Nelson Semedo missed the start of the season because of a suspension and now he finds

himself at risk of another ban.

All four players will have to avoid getting cautioned from now until Boxing Day.

Wolves in that period have games against Fulham, Bournemouth, Everton, West Ham,

Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Manchester United.

Wolves aren’t alone in having players at risk of a suspension but they do have the most players

currently on four yellows and in danger of a ban. Bournemouth, Newcastle United,

and Southampton are just behind them with three players walking the tight rope.

Manchester United and Leicester City have two, and then there’s a player each from Chelsea,

Everton, Fulham, Ipswich Town, Liverpool, Spurs, and West Ham.
