The Scotland international has 18 months left on his current contract at Tynecastle, implying that the Edinburgh giants may be forced to sell the centre-forward this summer. Shankland has been the leading goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership this season, which would considerably improve Rangers’ prospects of winning the title next season.
