Celtic signs training footage ahead of St Mirren test
In terms of Scottish Cup 5th Round challenges, Celtic’s trip to St Mirren tomorrow is challenging.
The Buddies will be ready for this match, especially after two straight league victories,
although the majority of the remaining Scottish Premiership teams were assigned ties
against lower-division opponents.
Celtic can play with confidence in Paisley, we know that. Just one month ago,
Brendan Rodgers‘ Bhoys triumphed 3-0 at the same location.
It remains to be seen, though, what sort of show the holders will put on on Sunday,
given their lackluster performances against Aberdeen and Hibernian on the road the previous week.
Celtic team is back to full strength.
Positively, the club’s squad strength is showing positive indicators.
The Celtic media team released video from today’s training session at Lennoxtown, demonstrating
that Hyunjun Yang and Hyeongyu Oh have returned to the practice setup and will be available tomorrow.
The two South Koreans barely left the Asian Cup on Tuesday, but they’ve rushed back to Scotland
in an attempt to play tomorrow.
Stephen Welsh’s return to full training after a hamstring injury scare against Hibs is also positive.
Rodgers stated at Easter Road that the defender felt his hamstring, which forced his substitution
in the second half, but it appears he’s moved past any worries. While they are also getting close to returns,
Greg Taylor and Cameron Carter-Vickers are not expected to play this weekend. Taylor is back on the training
field completing the last stages of his recovery, and he should be participating by next weekend
when Kilmarnock visits the United States.
