Wright reveals Rangers turning point as midfielder praises Philippe Clement-report
Speaking candidly about the Rangers’ winter training camp in La Manga,
Scott Wright insisted that the Ibrox team’s recent success has been greatly attributed to it.
After returning from the January break, Philippe Clement’s team is undefeated and is
just three points behind league leaders Celtic with a game remaining.
Rangers will take the top spot in the Scottish Premiership if they defeat Ross County
by three goals or more on Wednesday.
Wright also believes that the League Cup holders caught a break at the ideal moment.
“The manager came in and it was tough to start with because he couldn’t do much with us on
the training pitch because there was a game every two or three days,” he stated.
“Our time away in La Manga has been fantastic. I have to say that for us, it was crucial.
“You can see the things he wants to alter on the pitch as he has been able to apply more
of his ideas and a little of his flair.
“We are attempting to establish the foundation that he has laid and move it gradually in the correct direction.
