Confirmed: Four Rangers players now ruled out of Ayr United clash due to injury
Philippe Clement has provided an update on Rangers’ preparations for the Scottish Cup match against Ayr United on Saturday, February 10.
Gers hosted United at Ibrox and will go into the game as clear favourites.
Clement stated, “Ben Davies is back in for selection. Tom Lawrence will not be in the squad, although this is more of a precaution, as was the case with Jack midweek, to provide adequate recovery in between minutes. Ryan Jack is back on the squad.
“With a history of injuries, we need to be cautious with players, and there is open communication between medical personnel and the players.
“Leon (Balogun) went to consult a specialist; I expect him back next week.
“I’m not sure if it’s Ross County or the weekend, but he’ll return with a mask.
“Sometimes you need a few sessions to get comfortable in the mask.”
Rangers are big favourites against Ayr United.
Rangers approach the fifth round match against Ayr United as clear favourites,
riding high on a seven-game winning streak and impressing under Clement.
With recent League Cup victories and a strong campaign for the Premiership title,
Glasgow have established themselves as a dominant force in Scottish football.
