General manager Brad Holmes emphasized during his season-ending media session the organization’s commitment to enhancing all facets of the team.

While not singling out the defense, there is an implicit expectation that upgrades will be made, particularly in the secondary.

“We look to improve every single year. I don’t think it’s like one specific area,” stated Holmes. “We’ll always be kind of sharpening our tools in every area and I don’t think you can ever be perfect, there’s no such thing.”

“We’ll just kind of look to continue to improve in every area and we will and we’ve already started that process,” Holmes continued. “Where we ended up, it’s expected, it’ll be expected heading into this year. Super Bowl, look, that was a disappointment that we didn’t make it.”

“Again, that wasn’t a, ‘Man, we got lucky.’ No, it’s what we expected and fell short but still accomplished a lot. We’ll improve in every area,” he concluded.

In the latest episode of the All Lions “Bang The Table” podcast, guest Jeff Iafrate delves into how the Lions can advance further in their rebuilding journey amidst heightened expectations.
