Early in the January transfer window, the Portuguese player moved to Ibrox on a six-month loan. On Saturday,

February 3, he scored his first goal for the team in a 3-0 victory over Livingston.

It was expected that Clement would look to sign a more natural striker on top of bringing

in Silva from Wolves on a temporary basis but no such transfer materialised.

As a result, Silva has played a variety of positions during his comparatively little time with the Rangers, and

Ferguson, who talked exclusively to Ibrox News, discussed how to continually see the best of the 20-year-old.

“I think you can see there’s a really good football player there, but he’s been asked to lead the front line a little bit,

which isn’t his natural position,” Ferguson remarked.

“I believe that he’s more of a number 10 on the half turn, then you see the best of Fabio Silva. As a result, he’s had to

adjust, and the manager has requested that he play a variety of positions.”

“He’s done it and displayed the proper attitude. Fabio Silva is a nice acquisition to the Rangers, in my opinion.

More to come from Fabio Silva at Rangers

When this signing was announced, there was a lot of excitement because Wolves spent a huge amount of money—

Shark Sports estimated that it was worth £35 million.

He has struggled in his brief career because no one has really figured out where he is best suited,

and he has already experienced this at Ibrox.

Though some would contend he is actually more comfortable playing on the left as an inside attacker, Ferguson is

likely correct when he says he is not at his best when used as a center striker.

Even yet, having a forward with that much mobility in the attacking areas can only be advantageous, and Fabio Silva still has more to give Rangers.

In other Rangers news, a player is scheduled to depart Glasgow on Friday,

signaling the possibility of another Ibrox departure.
