O’Rourke: As sensation agrees to a deal, Aston Villa sets aside money for new signings.
According to insiders who spoke to Football Insider, Aston Villa has set aside money for
Unai Emery to use for contract extensions and new hires.
Senior writer Pete O’Rourke stated that the Villa management
“want to be playing with Europe’s elite every season” going forward in an
interview with the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.
Villa’s forward planning is ambitious, and the team is eager to maintain their Champions League qualification from the previous season.
The 22-year-old has shocked many and made a name for himself in Emery’s club, according to reliable sources who spoke to Football Insider. As a result, he will now receive a salary comparable to that of other first-team players.
Given that the team has not previously played Champions League football on a regular basis, there is some hesitancy regarding whether Villa should be awarding large contracts, but that is the goal going forward.
Emery is seen as a “very ambitious manager” who will insist on the support of the football team, which is exactly what Villa plans to do.
It is anticipated that he would be able to safeguard the futures of important first-team players by extending their contracts.
