Latest Arsenal injury news as five miss Newcastle after Ben White update and Gabriel boost.

Before Arsenal’s Premier League match against Newcastle, Mikel Arteta gave

the most recent injury information on Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes.

White was left out due to load management, while Gabriel suffered an injury against Liverpool,

thus the defensive pair missed the Carabao Cup victory against Preston.

White had recently returned from a four-week injury layoff and

had started the previous three games before the trip to Deepdale.

His rest seemed to indicate that he would be ready to return to the starting

lineup against Newcastle, but that might not be the case.

During a press conference, Arteta said, “With Ben we don’t know yet,”

“He could not train so let’s see what happens.” According to the

most recent update from the Arsenal manager, Gabriel is in contention to play on Tyneside,

even though it seemed that his issue was more serious.

He said, “Yes, it’s good news on Gabriel,” on Friday.

“Today is our training session. He will be included in the squad if he can accomplish it.

Since Martin Odegaard and Riccardo Calafiori have been ruled out and

Riccardo Calafiori has been given a favorable update, Arteta will be keen for him to participate.

Arteta responded, “Now is the stage he is going to start doing certain work

with us and just see how he deals with pain, if he is moving naturally enough

and if he is physically at the level required to compete,” when asked

if it would be possible for the Norway international to play against Inter on Wednesday.

“But with the work rate and the hours he has put in I would be

surprised if the moment he starts training with us we don’t say

he is ready so hopefully soon.” Arteta has confirmed that the

Japan international will not return before the November international break,

meaning that Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney are also still sidelined due to injury concerns.

With Eddie Howe providing fresh information on both

Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon prior to Saturday’s match,

there is uncertainty surrounding Newcastle. In terms of certain absences,

Callum Wilson, Kieran Trippier, Jamaal Lascelles, and Sven Botman will all be unable to play due to injury concerns.
