Aston Villa have emerged as the frontrunners in the hunt to recruit Hammarby’s promising teenage winger, Bazoumana Toure, who is also on Celtic’s radar.

Celtic’s chief scout, Jay Lefevre, was recently dispatched to witness the 18-year-old in action,

as curiosity in the Ivorian potential spreads throughout Europe.

Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Bayer Leverkusen have all scouted Toure,

but Villa are presently leading the chase, according to Fotboll Skanalen via RecordSport.

Toure, who joined Hammarby from the Ivory Coast in March of this year,

has rapidly established himself.

He is known for his left-footed flare on the flank and prefers to play on the left but can also play on the right,

making him a flexible attacking asset.

The Swedish club has set a high price of £8.3 million for the winger,

and any potential trade would require bidders to match Hammarby’s valuation in full.

If Celtic want to get Toure to Glasgow, they must be prepared to

make a high-stakes bid in a competitive market.

The Hoops have demonstrated a willingness to spend in recent months,

with Adam Idah coming for an initial £9.5 million and Arne Engels breaking a

new club transfer record of £11 million on deadline day. However,

with Premier League clubs now involved, the Scottish champions

will face hard competition if they hope to sign Toure.
