Leicester City was one among the clubs that looked at FC Nantes’ Mostafa Mohamed during the past transfer

window.

Sportune reports that Leicester ‘courted’ the 26-year-old in the summer. CD Leganés and the Foxes both had him on

their agenda.

Leicester and the Spanish club were unable to finalize a deal, and the striker remains with the Ligue 1 side.

In seven Ligue 1 games this season, the Egypt international has scored once in 173 minutes of action.

According to the source, Nantes is struggling financially and may be forced to transfer some of its players in the

coming window.

The frontman is said to have changed agents and is now handled by the UK agency CAA Base. This may indicate that

he will explore shifting clubs next year.

Their clientele includes Leicester’s Caleb Okoli and James Maddison, who left the Foxes for Tottenham Hotspur in

2023.

This relationship, combined with Nantes’ economic difficulties, could give Leicester with a new opportunity to sign

Mohamed in 2025. His contract runs until 2027, and Transfer markt now values him at €7 million.
