‘Shambles’ – Ally McCoist reacts to Rangers moment v Aberdeen: ‘Ridiculous’

In a live broadcast, Ally McCoist chastised Rangers for giving up to Aberdeen in their 2-1 victory at Ibrox on Tuesday, February 6.

After just seven minutes, Rabbi Matondo gave the visitors the lead. However, on the last seconds of the half, Bojan Miovski tied the

score with his 13th league goal of the year to bring the visitors back to par.

In the Scottish Premiership, the Gers and Old Firm rivals Celtic were tied on points after Todd Cantwell’s eventual winner.

McCoist was still amazed at how Miovski was allowed to score, even after the outcome.

The former Rangers striker revealed in a live talkSPORT interview on Wednesday, February 7, that “we conceded to a shambles of a goal.

” It was disorganized.

“I was a little worried because, since 1997 or something absurd, he [Neil Warnock] hadn’t lost the first game at a new club.”

Rangers hold out for important victory

The result against Aberdeen could have left a very sour taste at Ibrox, should Cantwell not have prodded home to regive

Rangers the lead with 18 minutes left to play.

The Dons’ equalizer was the result of incredibly shoddy defending; Connor Goldson lost sight of his opponent,

allowing Miovski to sneak in behind and score against the flow of play. Jack Butland was out of luck.

It was sad to witness such shoddy and amateurish defending against one of the league’s most prolific scorers, even with the victory.

Even after Dujon Sterling was mistakenly sent off for an inadvertent sliding challenge on Jack McKenzie,

Aberdeen had a huge chance to tie the score once more.

Philippe Clement must have been worried about his team’s chances of winning all three points given

Warnock’s dismal track record at new clubs, as seen by his thunderous yell following the final siren.

Rangers’ goal differential is now all that separates them from the top of the Scottish Premiership until

Celtic’s away match against Hibernian on Wednesday, February 7, creating a very competitive fight for the title.
