Contract renewal won’t stop Tottenham signing player – Ahead of Chelsea in tussle

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have been linked with a transfer for Patrick Dorgu of Lecce in recent months.

The dynamic Danish player just made his debut for the national team, generating additional attention, and Lecce has

acted quickly by signing him to a new contract. Earlier today, the club stated that the player has signed a new

contract that will end in the summer of 2029. While that may upset Tottenham and Chelsea fans, it does not

jeopardize their chances.

According to FiorentinaNews, Spurs remain the most interested in the teenager, with Chelsea likely coming in

second place. The new contract, however, does not guarantee that he will stay with Lecce beyond this season.

He is extremely likely to leave in the summer, and it appears that the new contract is just to boost the player’s value.

Lecce’s objective is to maximise the amount they get from Dorgu’s transfer, especially given that he just joined the

club for €200k. The contract represents their attempt to make a significant move and maybe initiate an auction.
