Jake O’Brien, along with Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, might depart Everton in January following a difficult

start at Goodison Park.

The Toffees have had a difficult season so far, with only one Premier League win, but they have gone unbeaten in

their last three games. Sean Dyche has chosen to use a same group each week, making it more difficult for certain

periphery players to get opportunities. With transfer rumours and contract talks heating up ahead of the January

window, Goodison News has identified three players who could depart Merseyside this winter.

The summer signing has struggled since joining the Toffees, with Dyche appearing hesitant to put him in the starting

lineup.

This is strange given that the Republic of Ireland international joined the club in January from Lyon for £17 million

in the most recent transfer window. There is a chance that this move was influenced by the French outfit’s owner

John Textor, who was linked with a takeover at Goodison Park before Dan Friedkin took the lead in that race.

After only 26 league minutes this season, the January transfer window could provide an opportunity for the 23-year-

old to either move out on loan for some regular play or be sold as Everton wants to collect as much of that £17

million as possible and cut their losses early. Supporters will not be surprised if the striker is on his way out of

Goodison Park following a disappointing tenure in England.
