Bojan Miovski, an Aberdeen striker valued at £8 million, was strongly linked to Rangers during the January transfer
window. Philippe Clement has since expressed his enthusiasm for the player.

The Sun claims that although Rangers are huge fans of the Dons star,
no deal could be reached during the January window.
Warnock’s assertion that Aberdeen has the best striker in Scottish football at their disposal was reinforced by
Miovski’s cold-blooded ruthlessness at the other end of the field on a night when Cyriel Dessers wasted opportunities

Clement did not nearly go to that extent. However, he did voice his disapproval at the callousness of a man who, in
the same amount of games (35), had scored almost twice as many goals as Dessers.
“Today, we had a really strong game. A truly commanding performance,” Clement remarked at halftime. “However,
these are the kinds of games you have when things don’t go your way during a season. You have multiple
opportunities to score during the first half, which you completely control.
And then there is this one instance, which is Miovski’s caliber. He only needs a little to score goals.

Rangers did manage to survive that scare sparked by Miovski, though, as Clement’s title-chasing club defeated
Warnock in his debut Scottish football match thanks to a goal from the excellent Todd Cantwell in the second half.
The 75-year-old is experiencing his first defeat in his first game as the manager of a new team since 1997.
