Celtic has appointed Paul Tisdale as its
Head of Football Operations (Club News).
Celtic has appointed Paul Tisdale as its Head of Football Operations (Club News).
Celtic Football Club is thrilled to announce Paul Tisdale’s
appointment as Head of Football Operations.
In this new strategic role, Paul will report to the Board and oversee
the development and
management of effective operations to support high-level
football performance,
including talent identification and development, in
line with the club’s goal of developing
Champions League players through our Academy and
recruitment processes.
In addition, Paul will collaborate with the club’s analytics functions,
assisting colleagues throughout the organization in continuously
improving our processes.
Paul played for a variety of clubs in the 1990s, including Southampton
and Bristol City,
but an injury ended his career at the age of 26.
Paul went on to have a successful career in football management,
including a 12-year stint as manager of Exeter City,
which was well-known for nurturing academy players.
Following his retirement from football management,
Paul has advised and supported a number of teams and groups
of clubs on recruitment,
football operations,
analytics, and innovation, and he brings a wealth of expertise
and experience to his new role at Celtic.
Paul helped the club during the summer transfer window and now
joins Celtic on a permanent
basis as we look to propel the team ahead.
Celtic Chief Executive Michael Nicholson stated,

and Paul has tremendous expertise in these areas.’
