and coaching staff changes were expected after the upstart Green Bay Packers,

headed by teenage quarterback Jordan Love, beat them in the first round of the playoffs.

Dan Quinn, the defensive coordinator, made the decision to quit the team and take a position as head coach of the division foe Washington Commanders,

despite the widespread belief that head coach Mike McCarthy was under pressure and that the squad needed a new leader.

Due to Quinn’s significant departure,

Jerry Jones and the team are looking for the next best person to lead this defense.

According to ProFootballTalk, Ron Rivera and Mike Zimmer, two previous head coaches, are interviewing for the position this week.

Since both coaches have vast NFL experience,

particularly with the abundance of talented defensive backs on the team.
