Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze is apparently receiving interest from other Premier League clubs, with Arsenal said to be monitoring the situation.
Eberechi Eze is apparently being closely monitored by Arsenal, who are interested in signing the Crystal Palace playmaker. Eze, 26, has a £68 million release clause in his contract that becomes active during the upcoming summer transfer window. Despite just scoring once this season for a struggling Palace side, the advanced midfielder is still attracting interest from Champions League sides.
Mick Brown, the former Manchester United head scout, says Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in signing the England international. He believes Eze would thrive in a better team environment if he followed Michael Olise’s footsteps and left south London.
“I’ve heard there are questions about Eze’s consistency,” Brown, who has previously worked for Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, said. “We know what he’s capable of; he’s shown he can be top quality, but he needs to show it every week.”
“I know the top clubs – Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool – are all interested in a move and are keeping a close eye on him.” If you can feed him, he will flourish. If he doesn’t receive that at Palace, he’ll get it at the big clubs.”
“With no disrespect to Palace, the players will be able to focus on their own performances without worrying about feeding Eze. I believe he has to play for one of the elite clubs to assist him reach the next level.”
“If you’re a talented player at these clubs, they’ll gladly feed you the ball, but you must also perform regularly. That is what scouts will be looking for when they observe him at Palace.”
