Milestone Collapse: Siya Kolisi’s recent terrifying injury is expected to prevent him from winning 100 caps for the Springboks.

Siya Kolisi commemorated Eben Etzebeth’s 128th appearance in the green and gold this past weekend, making him the all-time record holder of the cap.

It is important to remember that Kolisi is getting closer to reaching a significant personal achievement as the celebration comes to an end.

The Springbok skipper currently has 89 Test caps under his belt,

and he has a good chance of adding two or three more during the year-end tour if he stays injury-free.

Should he stay healthy and in top shape, Kolisi has a good opportunity of celebrating his centennial status as a Springbok next year.

The 33-year-old recently revealed that his ambition to play for the Springboks was a major factor in his decision to return to the Sharks after leaving French club Racing 92.

“I had no idea what the future held for my international career when I moved to Paris,

but when I returned to the national team in June, I realized that my body needed recuperation.

Above all, I miss three months of the Top 14 season if I represent South Africa.

Even though I am paid a lot, I still feel like I am stealing from Racing.

I therefore want to do what is good for myself, my physical health, and the club; I do not want to give it half of my all.

They believed they had a full-time Siya Kolisi when they hired me. But I want to stay with the Springboks because I enjoy playing for South Africa so much.
Siya Kolisi gave his Springbok “brother” a special homage.

Kolisi paid a moving homage to Etzebeth, who overtook Victor Matfield as South Africa’s most-capped player, following the Springboks’ victory on Saturday.

“I am so thankful that I have walked this journey with you, my best friend and my first beste pel, Eben Etzebeth, my brother,” Kolisi exclaimed.

“I am appreciative of your presence in my life. I appreciate your support from the beginning.

I was named captain by Coach Rassie; you had my support. Since the time we were eighteen, we have been together. You have supported me always.

You developed into a brother and were a great friend.

“Your intelligence, game sense, and demeanor off the field have all contributed to our success as a team.

You have guided us in many ways.” To your mother, wife, and family: although your father is no longer with us, he was still watching over us today.

“I am really happy for you. I am very happy to have you as a buddy.

I played with Eben Ysterbeth, and I can not wait to tell my kids about it.

I love you, my brother. Cheers.
