Sean Dyche has outlined the conditions that Everton must meet in order to defeat

Newcastle United on Saturday and earn three points.

The Toffees come into the game having won their first Premier League game of the year

last weekend against Crystal Palace. The Magpies had to settle for a point against the

reigning champions, Manchester City, while Dwight McNeil scored twice to

help Everton overcome the Eagles 2-1.

Last season, Everton defeated Newcastle United 3-0 in this fixture,

earning four points from their two league meetings. In April, Dyche’s squad earned a

late point at Goodison Park thanks to a penalty given by Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Dyche, 53, believes his team can learn from similar results when they play

the Magpies on Saturday night.

Regarding the opposition on Saturday, Dyche said, “We know that they’re a good outfit.”

“They do a good job there; Eddie has coached them well, and they have invested well.

” He is someone I greatly admire, and they have some excellent people in the game.

For different reasons, I think we played well in both games. We played incredibly well at

home and were able to rescue a point from the away game, which at points felt a lot like a

basketball contest.

They can do a variety of tasks. They can play and have pace on the counter,

but you have to be mindful that they often move the ball forward swiftly.

They have a good team with well-assembled parts, but as you pointed out,

we had a winning season against them last year, so there’s no reason we can’t

build on that performance.

However, we must perform well. We must play with excellence from beginning to end.

I believe we played better in the second half versus Palace last week,

even though you have to do that the entire time.

Due to Alexander Isak‘s exclusion from the Sweden national squad,

it is likely that the striker will not be able to go to Merseyside with Newcastle United.

Isak was able to play against Fulham with injections, but he missed their past two

games because of a broken toe he suffered against Wolves last month.
