VAR appears to have made big Nottingham Forest error separate to Murillo call after image emerged – opinion

Nottingham Forest recently faced controversy after their 1-0 loss to Fulham, particularly around a VAR decision involving Murillo. While much focus has been on the penalty awarded against him,

a separate error emerged regarding Anthony Elanga.

Elanga appeared to be fouled by Fulham’s Calvin Bassey in the penalty box, with images showing Bassey’s leg coming through Elanga’s ankle. Despite clear visual evidence, neither VAR nor the referee awarded a penalty, leaving Forest fans frustrated by the inconsistency of officiating decisions.
