According to the Belfast Telegraph, St Johnstone is set to finalize a deal with Tiernan Lynch, the head coach of Larne, possibly today. The

Perth side has agreed on compensation with the Northern Irish champions and it is now up to Lynch to decide on his future. Celtic legend

Scott Brown was also considered for the role at McDiarmid Park before signing a new deal with Ayr United.

Lynch, 44, has led Larne from the second division in Northern Ireland to back-to-back NIFL Champions and the first Northern Irish side

to reach the group/league stages of a UEFA European competition, with Larne currently competing in the Europa Conference League.
