In the second leg of the Champions League Round two against FK Vorskla Poltava,
Ma Lawton and Shannon McGregor both scored with fantastic headers
to give Celtic FC Women a 2-0 victory on the night and a 3-0 aggregate victory to send the Ghirls into the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the first time ever.
Celtic will play English champion Chelsea, Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, and Dutch team Twente.
The draw was announced earlier today,
and two of the matches will be held at Celtic Park and the other two at future Douglas Park in Hamilton, which is the future home of Celtic FC Women.
The two goals are expertly captured in the Celtic TV Unique Angle film, and the players’ and fans’ jubilant cheers,
particularly following the second goal, are contagious.
