Everton’s probable new owners, the Friedkin Group, are unlikely to take over before Christmas, but they are prepared to give finances

before then. TBR Football understands it means Everton will have money in place to axe Sean Dyche, if required, which was a potential

concern for them prior to the takeover. Everton have been plagued by profit and sustainability concerns over the last 12 months, and

finances have been a continuous source of concern. However, Friedkin’s arrival will ensure that this is no longer an issue, therefore if

Dyche is to be gone, the funds will be accessible.

Sources reveal that the club has been conducting due research on potential candidates, and while Graham Potter and Gareth Southgate

have been mentioned, we believe that former manager David Moyes is the favourite to come in and return to the club.

While not considered a long-term appointment, Moyes is seen as someone who could come in potentially till the end of the season and

steer them to safety, which is hugely significant since they are slated to leave their Goodison Park home in 2025 and move to a new

stadium at the Bramley-Moore Dock. Dyche must produce results swiftly if he is to keep his job after failing to win any of his team’s first

five league games. However, the former Burnley manager is confident that he will live long enough to see the new owners take over.

When asked if he wanted to lead the club’s relocation to a new stadium before of the weekend’s critical match against Crystal Palace, he

said, “Of course.”.

“What, to dig this out for 20-whatever-it-would-be-by-then months and have them [the new owners] say, ‘cheers, thanks for looking after

us, off you pop?’ Of course, but there is no divine authority to simply say, ‘Oh well, you are obviously the guy to do that’. And if not, that’s

how it goes.”
