Philippe Clement got the ball rolling early doors when Fabio Silva signed for Rangers before the transfer window was even officially open.
The Gers manager was clearly looking to improve the inventiveness and depth of his squad’s attacking line,
with Mohamed Diomande and Oscar Cortes both joining.
The question was whether Fabio Silva was the type of player the Rangers needed, but the 21-year-old has quickly allayed any concerns.

The on-loan Wolves striker has already stated that he is not the type of number nine who will poach in and around the box like Jermaine Defoe or Antonio Colak.
Ironically, this was the type of goal that Fabio Silva scored on his Rangers debut.
When asked if he was delighted to be off the mark,
the former Porto wonderkid stated that his game is more than just goals.
“I usually say this, but it is true.
When you work hard and do things correctly, the results come automatically.
“Of course it will come, but it is vital to me and boosts my confidence.
“The most important is the result.”
“I am really thrilled, of course, since I am a striker,
and everyone knows that we live for goals, but the most important thing is how I can help the team with my moves and work,
both defensive and offensive.
Fabio Silva is a striker who Rangers supporters can come to love if given a chance.
His style has similarities to Nikica Jelavic’s in that he will drift around and interchange with midfielders and wingers,
as well as having the technical ability to transfer the ball rapidly in tight spaces.
Philippe Clement believes Silva is a player he can trust after starting him at Easter Road,
and early indications suggest he will pose difficulties for opposing defences.
Unlike some strikers, Silva understands that it isn’t all about him;
it’s no surprise Clement loves him so much, given talks of a possible extension to his stay at the club.
