Brighton are anxious about one of their players’ fitness ahead of Saturday’s trip to Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

The Seagulls have earned nine points from their first five games, one less than the Blues.

That makes this weekend’s matchup between the two intriguing, and Chelsea will be eagerly monitored to see if they

can build on their great victory and performance against West Ham on Saturday. The Blues won 3-0, but Brighton was

left disappointed with a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

The Seagulls are dealing with a few injuries, one of which included Yasin Ayari, who joined the South Coast club from

Blackburn Rovers in January. Ayari has already made four Premier League appearances for Brighton this season, but

he missed the weekend’s game against Forest due to illness and will be a doubt this weekend, Brighton coach Andrew

Crofts told Sussex World. “Yasin reported a high temperature [before the Nottingham Forest match],” said Brighton

coach Andrew Crofts. “He was quite ill, so it’s unfortunate for him since this is a terrific time for him. But he was not

feeling well at all. “The gaffer has to decide what to do next.”

Ayari hopes to return this weekend, but much depends on whether he recovers from his illness. Other absentees for

the Seagulls include James Milner (hamstring) and new acquisition Matt O’Riley (ankle). Solly March is also out with a

knee ailment, and Brajan Gruda is out with an unexplained problem.

Brighton will also be missing head coach Fabian Hurzeler for the game against Chelsea, since he was sent off against

Forest.Get related news on:https://sportviewers.com
